Very good amenities, particularly good and incredible setting.
The hotel of choice in Assisi. Exceptional views of valley and simple continental and astonishing breakfasts with Hams and sweet rolls, as example. Airy, silent rooms with a safe, a mini-bar and central heating. Easy check in and GOOD service. Not to mention good wifi! From the bus stop 5 minutes on foot.

Fantastic little and unique place, I truly enjoyed amazingly kind personnel.
The breakfast was simple continental with plenty of goodies. The rooms were neat and had hypoallergenic pillows.

I was happy with hotel's magnificent and favourable location in the centre of Assissi. The suite was silent, included central heating, a safe and multi-channel television. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, view of the valley was nice. Location: the venue was close to the old town center close o the Duomo di S, and the Assisi attractions.
Disappointing aspect was a bit small bathroom.

Miguel, receptionist was the nicest person in the hotel, he was very friendly and attentive. location of the hotel is ideal, central. It is a quiet hotel, windows isolate the noise very well (it is a street where many people go to see the Basilica of St. Francis). We were on the third floor and views were spectacular. decoration of the rooms is very good and bed is very comfortable. Our room was very bright. hotel is very good, I recommend it without any doubt.
person who attended to us at breakfast was cold, seemed to be doing the work without wanting to. breakfast was quite poor and quality quite mediocre. breakfast can be uneven, is not a problem if there is quality, this is not the case in this hotel. It is a pity because the breakfast is not in accordance with the level of the hotel. About the cleaning, everything was fine except the carpet in the room, it was very dirty. About the restaurants that are around, you have to choose well because given the large amount of tourism there is the danger of going to a typical tourist restaurant where the attention and food they serve leaves much to be desired.

when I travel to Italy I want to know immediately when I open my eyes in the morning I am in Italy. Hotel was perfect. Huge ancient beams in the ceiling, tile floor. glorious view over the Umbrian valley when shuttered window was opened. 4 poster bed with hemstitched bed hangings. antique furniture and a funky multipetaled lamp on the desk. modern Italian bathroom. Wonderful coffee in the morning. Nice breakfast choices in a bfk room that was a charming mix of Italian modern and traditional. owner/ operator very gracious and on site. Location is very good, elevator very nice for suitcases, we usually walked up to our second floor room. reading room with computer access (if your're not unplugged from the net )
there wasn't anything I disliked

The hotel is on one of the narrow main roads of the town leading to the Basilica. The front looks over the Umbrian valley. The building is medieval and furnished tastefully in that style with wooden beams on the ceiling. I like the touch of the modern tables and glass balcony over the breakfast room. Very friendly staff. My stay in Assisi was perfect.
My single bed mattress felt a little bit medieval!

This is one of the most unusual hotels I've ever stayed at. The building of the XIII century is fully adapted to the needs of the XXI century - the hotel owners clearly know the secret of the time machine. The door of my room did not go into the corridor or the hall, but into the door of the XIII century! It was on the third floor! The rocks from which these walls are built remember St. Francis. They were lit with lamps, tables and chairs, and on top of them a five hundred year old cypress protects the patio from the sun... In addition, my room window turned out to be a door that led to a private terrace. And at that moment, I'm just confused about the ages. And now the business part of the review. From the hotel to the Basilica of San Francesco, 10 minutes on foot, 10 minutes to the Communal, 15 minutes to the Basilica of Santa Chiara, depending on your physical ability. The city is vertical, there are no flat surfaces at all. But this hotel is probably the best place to be. You don't have to climb the top every night, you just have to work a little harder. San Francesco Street, with the hotel at its center, is the main city promenade. You will be constantly passed by people in sutans, who look into the souvenir shops, choose trendy rosary and very fun bargaining. (Need to see!) As for the hotel staff, these are people of the highest category of hospitality. I do not even know who to praise, because they are all good. If you don't want anything, you won't notice them. But as soon as you have a need, any one of them will come to the rescue and provide it in a couple of minutes.

Staff was very helpful. Location is good to explore Assisi. As all other hotels in town (as well as in all other similar historic towns), parking lots are outside the city walls, but you can drive in to drop off the luggage.
The bed was not very comfortable - those old and noisy spring mattresses. The double bed is composed by two single beds together, but the mattresses didnt help much. Not a big deal at the end though.

Nice location for shopping. My room was great with 2 windows faced the private garden of the hotel. Quiet and let you feel you are in the countryside. Nice place for breakfast
The lobby and all the common places could be more clean and smart. Looks like the owner doesn't look well after his property. The garden is a nice place for dinner and breakfast or for the evening drink but they do not use it. Minibar could be more complete

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, bright, pretty. The breakfast was yummy. The hotel was in a great location in the town of Assisi
I liked everything about my experience w/Hotel Il Palazzo...better than any experience I've had in the U.S. in comparable hotels.

The hotel boasts an really good location in the heart of Assisi. The stunning views from the rooms were amazing. Reaching the hotel can be tricky due to the confusing one-way streets in the area.
